There are risks to taking any form of medication and side effects of Concerta in children can be particularly devastating. The most common Concerta side effects in Children consist of: increased nervousness, trouble sleeping (if taken too late in the day), loss of appetite, unintended weight loss, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or mild headache. If any of these side effects of Concerta in men or children last for more than a day or two it is important that you notify your physician as soon as you can. A harmless condition that may scare the observant patient is the fact that an empty tablet may appear in their stool. This is a harmless by-product that occurs because your body can’t break down the framework of the tablets.

While allergic reactions to Concerta are rare, it is important to seek emergency medical attention if you develop any of these signs: hives; difficulty breathing; or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
